The tradition of fishing on Loch Venachar goes back to the mid 19th century, so we are relative newcomers to the shores of the loch. Since 2004 Trossachs Leisure has been based on the North shore of this scenic place when the company took over the long-established business of Trossachs Fishings.
From our magnificent facility, we manage all of the trout and pike fishing on Loch Venachar.
A fleet of 30 boats is available which give us the capability to accommodate major competitions. All these boats have been refurbished since 2004 and most are fitted with the latest Yamaha 4hp four stroke outboard engines
Our stunning new contemporary fishing lodge with its modern facilities includes the fully licensed Harbour Café, where you can enjoy anything from a bacon roll and coffee to lunch or dinner. Mark Wilkinson, Director, is well known in the local community and has been associated with fishing in the Trossachs and elsewhere for many years. He is also an experienced manager with many years in the leisure industry.
Morris Meikle, Head Ghillie is also well known throughout the Scottish angling community. A fully qualified ghillie, Morris is an expert on fishing and an excellent teacher of his craft. The ghillies we employ in various locations are under his supervision.
