What do I wear to my Scottish wedding?
We encourage people to celebrate Scottish culture and dress appropriately. We do not see it as offensive, but rather as a celebration of our culture and, through heritage, likely yours too. Men wearing kilts and women wearing shawls can be a great way to wear tartan in a traditional style. At Venachar Lochside, we work with amazing local kilt makers and dressmakers, and in the nearby city of Stirling there are plenty of shops where you can hire a kilt.
Getting to our Scottish wedding venue from the USA
Venachar Lochside is located on the north side of Loch Venachar. We’re just over an hour’s drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports. Flights can be as little as £90 from New York to Edinburgh on SkyScanner.
