Throughout the day we serve a range of fresh dishes, perfect for a relaxed lunch by the water.

Nights at VL
From 5.00pm each evening we shift into the “Nights at VL” experience. The menu, service and ambience change to create a more immersive fine dining occasion as the sun sets over the loch.

Sundays at VL
On Sundays we serve a dedicated Sunday-roast menu rather than the standard a-la-carte options. It’s a popular day so we recommend booking in advance.

How do I get to Venachar Lochside?
Venachar Lochside is just an 8 minute drive from Callander across the most beautiful scenic drive in Scotland.
Head North West down the A84 out of Callander past Tesco and when you get to Kilmahog, turn left on the A821, go past the Lade Inn and in 3.2 miles you will arrive at Venachar Lochside.
You will even pass some Highland Coos who love to say hello!
Venachar Lochside is located on the North side of Loch Venachar where you can overlook the hills, Lochs swimmers, and sailers!
The Trossachs Explorer Bus
If you don’t have a car available, throughout summer there is the Trossachs Explorer bus from just £1.50 and free for under 22s and over 60s! (with a valid bus pass)
Starting from Callander, it will take you right to Venachar Lochside on its journey between Kilmahog and Brig O’ Turk.
Venachar Lochside restaurant opening times
Our opening hours are Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00. We close on days booked for weddings or private events. These dates will not appear in the booking system. If you have already booked with us, rest assured that your visit is confirmed.

We have a spa and sauna too! We open it 7 days a week (unless there’s a wedding) with our open water swimming, spa, cold plunge, marshmallow toasting, and sauna from just £15 per person! If that sounds like something you'd be interested in while visiting Callander, we would love to have you!
